Black Friday air fryers Australia: single basket or dual drawer?

This guide contains affiliate links. Qualifying purchases may earn us commission. Read our research and disclosure policy.

A Black Friday air fryer is useful only if it suits the food you cook and the kitchen you have. This manufacturer-based comparison uses the Ninja Air Fryer Max AF160 range and Philips 3000 Series NA352/00 as examples of single-basket and dual-drawer layouts. We have not tested them, ranked their cooking performance or confirmed a 2026 deal.

Single basket: choose around your normal portions

The Ninja AF160 range has one basket and six listed modes: Air Fry, Max Crisp, Roast, Bake, Reheat and Dehydrate. A single cooking zone may suit food you can prepare with the same settings. Check the physical basket and your usual portions rather than relying on the litre label alone. If you regularly need separate temperatures, consider whether cooking in batches would be acceptable.

Dual drawer: useful when food needs separate settings

Philips lists a 6 L main drawer and 3 L smaller drawer for the NA352/00, with a SyncFinish function to coordinate finishing times. That layout may suit a main and side cooked separately. The combined 9 L does not mean either drawer holds a single 9 L item. Measure the unit and allow the clearance required by its instructions; check the room needed to remove drawers too.

Three meals tell you more than a bigger capacity claim

Write down meals you already cook, how many people need feeding and whether ingredients share a cooking temperature. Consider irregularly shaped food, batch cooking and washing the baskets afterwards. A small household may still need room for a particular dish; a large household may still prefer an oven for a whole meal. Choose around your own routine, not a generic family-size label.

Will an air fryer save money?

It depends on what it replaces, the energy used for the task and how often you use it. A rated wattage alone does not establish the electricity cost of a meal. For an illustrative calculation, 1 kWh at a tariff of $0.30 per kWh costs $0.30. That example is not a measurement of either model. Include the purchase price before claiming that an appliance pays for itself, and avoid counting savings if you would simply add it to existing cooking habits.

Compare exact models and delivered prices

AF160ANZ is the model identity on the linked Ninja Amazon Australia listing; NA352/00 is the linked Philips model. Retailer titles may shorten names. Match the full code, plug suitability, accessories and seller. Compare delivery to your postcode, especially when a free-delivery condition requires extra spending. A different colour, model revision or bundle is a different comparison.

Buy, wait or keep using your oven?

Buy when a product meets an actual need and the final price fits your limit. Wait when you have not checked food fit, clearance, cleaning or recent prices. Keep using existing equipment if it already does the job. There is no confirmed discount in this guide.
